This years Gressman Powersports AFTC Points Championship came down to a very tight battle between Art Ball & defending 2010 AFTC Champion Bob Dible, with Brian Sorg following just behind them. It came down to the last AFTC points race, which was a make-up feature at Fremont with Bob Dible leading the AFTC points, but due to a bad wreck & a massive about of damage to Dible's 17 machine a couple weeks prior, Dible then had to finish out the year in Steve Endicotts truck, which was unfortuate for him due to AFTC Rule #2 (Drivers must finish the race in the truck they started the night in. Jumping to another drivers truck, a team truck, or backup truck will NOT be allowed. The driver will receive AFTC Points for the event, but only up until the time that another truck is used to finish the event.) he then only received show up points and Art Ball was then able to pass him in points & collect the 2011 Gressman Powersports AFTC Championship and $300 prize thanks to Scott Gressman, with Bob Dible 2nd earning $100, & Brian Sorg finishing 3rd earning $50.
The complete list of points & information about the Gressman Powersports Attica/Fremont Truck Championship is posted on -

Also stay tuned as we are going to attempt to have an awards banquet & a fun bowling event fundraiser to follow at Seneca Lanes in Fostoria which will be open to anyone to participate & we are hoping to raise some money for the top ten in points. If anyone would like to be a points fund contributor or a sponsor/contributor for the 2012 season please contact me. Thanks for the support!

Congrats to Art & the team ... it was great to hear him say he'll be back again in 2012 after picking up the Fremont track championship
First Off crongrats to to the 01 team for this years AFTC Championship. Arts always been a great competitor.
Now for my complaint on this who ordeal: 1) you say i jump into another truck to complete the race. personally i feel you are WRONG!!!! This race was not made up for 11 weeks from the the rain out date. Yes i did crash my original 17 truck then jumped into Steve's truck that night to finish off the night. The following week we transfered all my suspension stuff from the My #17 truck to the #8 truck and ran that following weekend with it. Then we had a two week off period. That week we changed my motor and tranny over as well and put my number 17 on the truck since it was basically all mine except for the actual frame and body. My problem lies with the fact that it was my truck.... (just not the right color) and it took 11 weeks to make this race up. A Lot of stuff can happen in 11 weeks......Did i need to paint the truck also to be considered legal..... i personally think this whole judgement that was made on this matter is a joke.. I could understand for a single event the rule makes since but we are talking 11 weeks later... there are alot of racers out there (late models, 410's, 305's, ect) that change there frames when there in a big wreck... Just because they have the same colored panels to go back on that would be ok for them... but because i didn't paint this truck my normal blue color i get penalized... BULLSH++.... Well hope you have sucess in the future with this Class but you will never get my support again... Bob Dible
It's not my fault that the weather was soo shitty this year to where it took 11 weeks...thats just how it went..and to answere your question yes if it had the same appearing body there wouldn't really be a way for anyone to b**** and say it wasn't the same truck you raced in the heat race 11 weeks prior but since it was apparent that it was endicotts truck w. Your number then I can not defend you on this, sorry. I have to follow the rules & I tried being nice about the matter.. You must race the same truck in the a-main that you raced to transfer there through the heat or the b-main... The truck you raced in the A-main is NOT the same truck... Its the chassis AND body that endicott raced..so that would mean if I blow my motor I can throw my parts on another truck and duct tape a 3r on it and be fair? The whole point is by the rules it doesn't matter if its the same night or 5 months later it has to be the same truck Atleast "appearing" and that would be the only way around this matter and thats all I can say.. I'll have your $100 check for ya, I'd say that's a good bonus for ya and congrats on a great season, sorry that you'll no longer support the series hopefully you change your mind on that.
congrats to Art on the championship, and yes chuck rules are rules, and its nice to see them enforced. guess you cant make everyone happy, but bobs just mad cause he said he was winning both championships and he didnt. hell, 32h would of been the champ if we didnt miss 2 races, but oh well he still had fun and won some races and still finished in 8th place with 3 wins.
Brian sorg had the same rule applied to him cuz he changed trucks to so its not like u were singled out and screwed out of 200 bucks
after recalculating my brothers point total, im gettin different numbers than what is being posted, im comin up with 1,515 points.
I am in no way affiliated with any of the trucks that run at Attica and Fremont and I am just offering my opinion on the matter. Chuck your saying he had to run the same truck that he ran 11 weeks prior to the make up feature, but like Bob said its racing a lot can happen in 11 weeks. I mean people wreck and when you wreck sometimes you cant run that same car cuz its to damaged. So to me it doesnt make sense that 11 weeks later he cant run the same car. Chuck you also say in your next post that the cars have to "appear" the same, so in other words in order to win your title you cant run a different paint scheme on your car at all through the whole season?
IMO Bob has a right to be mad at this ruling, once again I am not affiliated with Bob and like everyone else I love Art Ball and the fact he is very competitive at what 73?

No u can run diff cars thru the year but that's not the same truck that he checked in with the night he qualified for the feature Wich in terms makes him officially dq for full points for that night and this was issue brought up by Jaimie henning so hats off to her for making sure the rules were followed and if the rule was not informed not saying art ball and his team would bitch but then they would be getting screwed so my point being is chuck was put in the situation to make the call that was brought up by the one that keeps track of the points so if u guys wanna bitch about points take it up with the one that volunteers her time to keep track of the points and u guys are botching about the 5 bucks u paid to have a chance to get more back for not running any EXTRA races
racecrew i understand the ruling but at the same time what happens if he is racing sometime between those 2 nights and destroys his truck then? then what happens?
Once again not trying to start stuff on here just wondering
