I'm at Attica as always on Friday. Saturday, probably Fremont.
Jac will be in NY with the ASCoC. Hes running fulltime.

Ya know what no idea how I did that. I made the master list from January-April so just must've placed it on the wrong day for some reason. Amendment will be made to the schedule there.

I'll stand corrected on that one. I assumed the ASCoC was racing somewhere in PA last Saturday. WRONG. It was an open date between Lernerville and Bedford. Since Jac was at WCS, I assumed he had quit the tour. WRONG AGAIN. To my credit, I picked a great nite for my first trip to WCS this season.

No doubt there. Sounds like they had a heck of a battle.

            • With the weekend work schedule I'll be at WCS.
Pretty much that is where I go unless Mansfield is running.
If Hilltop races sprints again, I will attend the show there.

              • Does Anyone Know What The Hell Is Wrong With Limaland? Cancelled the BOSS show because it MIGHT rain? Not enough rain fell to hurt any track? They cancel the most and seem to find excuses to? Anyone know why the effort there has gone away over the years? I don't mean to disrespect, but It seems like when I decide to stay local they always disappoint?

Based on the rain we just got an hour north they made the decision. It's literally been a torrential downpour for the last hour. The front extends south from what I can see. They've actually cancelled a lot less this year. Only their third cancellation in 8 attempts this year. There are multiple times this season I can think of that Lima and Attica were only two tracks in OHIO that didn't cancel their Friday show. I've been impressed that they have given it a good effort this year.

                  • By the way GTigers55 Thanks for the Weekend Outlook each week. Been using it as a tool. This week I planned on following BOSS, which is why I was so disappointed with Lima and I'm not alone as I know several of their drivers. Not sure where you are but I was in Lima a good part of the day and I am now 14 miles from the track and not a drop anywhere I've been? I am not a rookie, I've been doing this stuff since the 70's and they just don't seem to care if they race or not? IF they got any rain at the track it had to be brief.

I'm about an hour and a quarter north, figured this front nailed them too. Shame then since it didn't hit down there. Some heavy storms today. Theyv'e been bad about that for sure since I've started following but if what I had here had hit there they wouldn't be racing. No ifs ams or buts. But since it didn't...

On another note, just got invited by a friend I met at Attica this past week to meet him at Eldora for the Dream and he had a spare ticket. Looks lime I'm headed to the The Dream for the 1st time and my first crown jewel late model event!!! I'm pumped. Fiance, well, will likely not be as pumped that I'm leaving.

They are going to redraw a new winner! Lucky for everyone else.

                        • Attica made the right call. I followed Bobby Clark and Adam Keckitch north on SR4. When I saw them leave, I knew the race was cancelled. Hope you have a good time at the Dream, GT. You may become a late model fan and want to attend the Barney Oldfield race at Oakshade next Saturday. The latemodels never disappoint. The weather often does.

                          • Wayne County just cancelled.
Rain started in for the weekend again.
Only 4 races there this year.

                            • Weekend Highlights

                              - Its Ohio Sprint speedweek time folks! One of the biggest weeks of racing in the state, if not the country. I'm covering through Tuesday in this blurb. A speedweek only schedule will be posted in the speed week thread. Ohio Sprint Speedweek Kicks off at Attica Raceway Park Friday night, often one of the best events of the speedweek tour. The All Stars then travel down to Eldora again this year, and with no other winged sprint shows in Ohio this Saturday they could see an even larger count than last year. Sunday night comes the show dubbed as "the best show of speedweek" at Waynesfield Raceway Park with the All Stars and NRA 360 sprints on the card. Some HUGE names pop in on the Sunday and Weekday shows so you may even get to see some surprise visitors. Speedweek continues at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville on Monday, and often features some of the best car counts of the entire week. Tuesday rounds off the first half of Speedweek at Sharon Speedway on the Icy dirt oval, featuring some fantastic side by side racing.

                              - Wayne County Speedway welcomes the World of Outlaw Late Models the Saturday preceding their Speedweek show, setting up a fantastic weekend of racing at the 3/8ths mile dirt track. Last year the show featured 31 cars on a May 27th Memorial Day weekend event. A new date this year could spark some new visitors to the track that were not there for last years big event.

                              - Sharon Speedway is another track who looks to have a huge weekend. Saturday they host an unprecedented $10k to win Penn-Ohio Pro Stock Nationals event with a test and tune on Friday night. A field of over 80+ cars have already registered for the event. Coupled with the speedweek show on Tuesday, a fantastic weekend of racing can be expected.

                              - The OVSCA sprints bring some sprint car racing to the Ohio and West Virginia border this weekend while the All stars race in the northern half of the state. Featuring a two race weekend with their first visit to Legendary Hilltop on the season, as well as their first visit across the West Virginia border to Ohio Valley Speedway. The OVSCA has seen a bump to their car counts this year with only one southern ohio series paying a point fund out.

                              - The Barney Oldfield Classic returns to Oakshade for a $5k+ to win late model event featuring the ALMS. The lone driver who has attended all ALMS races this season is Casey Noonan so you can expect him to be in house for the event. As well as a host of very tough local competitors such as Rusty Schlenk, Steve Kester, and Devin Shiels and some invaders the event should be well attended.

                              - Deerfield is bringing the Non wings to the small quarter mile for the first time this year after multiple rain outs dampered efforts earlier in the season. The Non wing experiment in the Northeast could prove to be an interesting one and extend the branch of non wing racing hosted in ohio.

                              - The BOSS non wing sprints countinue their season after being washed out last weekend at Fremont Speedway. The BOSS series has put on some great racing already this season and is very well followed. Around 30 cars were at Fremont the first time around, and with Waynesfield not racing until Sunday a larger crop of non wing sprinters in the pits.
