  • Are they down to 10 or 11 full time ( 95-100% attendance ) teams ? I see over the weekend no John Garvin ( who did race at Sharon Saturday ), and no Max McGhee ( showing now as 55th in points ) or Ayrton Olsen ( showing as 22nd ). Looks like 11 full timers now. Just a curiosity question.

    • The McGhee car is still at every race. Just different drivers

      • Ryan smith seems to now be the full time driver in the McGhee car. The car is still touring the all stars just not the original driver.

Ayrton Olsen is kinda doing what Roger Campbell did last year. Attending all but the very far away races. He missed two weekends (Lernerville/Bedford and NY swing). So he’s way back in points.

Garvin is news to me. Maybe decided to head home and prep to run some of PA speedweek?

Ryan Smith only ran the car for speedweek. Gary Taylor was in the car for Plymouth, and Route 66 this past weekend.

Jeez they just keep changing. Shows how much I paid attention to the All stars visit over there. I saw Taylor was in an 11 car just didn't put two and two together. Honestly think if they just stuck someone like Smith, Scelzi, or Taylor in the car for the year they could've been at least somewhat competitive.

What I still can't believe is why they only got 23 Cars at Plymouth. The wing drivers in indiana complain about not being enough wing races in the state and then nobody goes and supports one of the few races they get. Makes no sense to me. Was really surprised to see Cale Thomas and Justin Peck were two names that didn't attend for instance.

Also sidenote looks like Ayrton Olsen also did not attend the only one of the series he follows that's actually in his state.

Track prep (or lack thereof) at Plymouth may be turning some drivers off. It has been a problem for a while now and doesn't seem to be getting any better.

So they’re officially off the tour then. Garvin has improved a lot since he started. He should do very well in western pa with the experience he gained.

                    • Sounds like the PA DOT nailed them with some pretty good fines and their shoestring budget fell apart for the rest of the year. Was hoping they would get some funding along the way this year and be able to continue with the All-Stars not just this year, but next as well.

The #3 car has come to a halt 8 races shy of running the full @ASCoC schedule. Jac is looking for a ride or help from sponsors to continue. The PA DOT has parked it! Unfortunately it will be a hefty fine for some minor violations which will cost us over 3k to continue.

                      • It's a bummer for sure. Wonder what exactly the violations were? I don't really understand what you can do wrong hauling a race trailer besides lights not working?

                        • Trailer brakes wasn't right on his small toter. Maybe break away switch wasn't working either. Im no expert and makes me worried on going to lernerville Friday. Im just going to take my small open trailer since my bus don't have a brake controller and the cable is frayed on the break away. Anyone else know exactly whats needed or could of happened to Jac? Post said he didn't have his chains criss crossed either.....

                          • When comes to DOT pick anything. Brakes outta adjustment, over weight on axles, over weight overall, brake pads cracked, lights not working, etc. Definitely depends on vehicle and trailer

Not saying any these the issue just that any of it possible. It's something we all never think of. Sponsor name on trailer can make you commercial vehicle but you plate as non-comm.........

Sounds like there are more rules than anyone can comprehend. Everybody on the team probably got a seat belt violation too. Over regulation, its the American way.
