That old saying “ the only two guarantees in life are death and taxes “ is hereby amended for this event to be : “ the only guarantees in life are death , taxes, and a fuel stop “. I would think the 50 lap concept may change if they get overwhelmed with feedback from the teams. If there are really 75 cars coming, deciding who gets to run in the non qualifiers is going to be tough, since there will be 50 candidates. They should announce that format well in advance, especially since the posted payout for that race is pretty decent, while there is no posted payout for the B Mains last I saw. If I’m confused here about the B’s and Non Qualifiers, please feel free to correct me.

I'm not sure how they determine who makes the non qualifiers, I'm assuming it's based off of B main finish but who knows. Everyone who fails to make the non-qualifier race gets $150. Must make non-quali race to get in the money so to speak. So as of now essentially 44 or so drivers will make more than $150 on saturday. Excluding however much they get on Friday night.

Who are some of the notables that haven't been announced yet? (They may be registered, just not announced yet.)
Some that I can think of are:
          Byron Reed
          Chris Andrews
          Dan McCarron
          Broc Martin
Sean Zemunik (If he comes over)
          Aaron Reutzel
          Scott Theil
          Cale Conley
          Tyler Gunn
          The Blaney's
          Cap Henry
          TJ Michael
          Brian Lay
          Danny Smith
Sammy Swindell? (Would make it interesting)
Any other PA, CA, IA, WI, etc. thinking about it?

I would actually be surprised to see Byron there. He's been taking a step back the past few years and didn't go to any of the races there last year.

              That's true, but $100k is $100k

Better yet let's make it 60 laps.

At the size of the track 50 laps is like 60 to 75 on smaller tracks. 30 laps would be good and competitive. I think the race at 50 laps loses my interest.

My feelings exactly. The announcement of 50 laps made me add at least 5 degrees to my temperature cutoff of going or not

Are you guys serious? Theres like 5 big money sprint car races in the entire county and you're not gonna go because they're making it 15-20 laps longer than your normal feature? For $100k you gotta give everyone in the field a chance to win. Ideally, I agree 40 laps might be better but by no means does this affect my decision to go.

Absolutely serious. At 50 laps you can nearly bet on a fuel stop and on the outside chance they don't have one the winner will likely be the luckiest not necessarily the fastest.
