David Gravel will race a part-time Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series schedule in 2020, GMS Racing announced Friday.

Gravel, 27, has 51 World of Outlaw feature wins and won the 2019 Knoxville Nationals with sponsorship from Axalta secured with the help of NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon.

Gravel will compete in six Truck Series races, including the July 30 Eldora Dirt Derby, where he’ll drive the No. 24 truck sponsored by Axalta.

He will also compete in the ARCA Menards Series season opener at Daytona with GMS Racing’s alliance team, KBR Development.

In addition to his full-time status with Tony Stewart’s All Stars, Zearfoss will also join the World of Outlaws on an occasional basis, participate in select 360 sprint car showstoppers such as the King of 360s at East Bay Raceway Park and 360 Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, as well as join the infamous Pennsylvania Posse on an on-and-off again basis, most notably during Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek.

Other marquee events on Zearfoss’ 2020 plans include Let’s Race Two and Kings Royal weekends at Eldora Speedway, Lernerville Speedway’s Silver Cup, the Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park, the coveted Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, Port Royal Speedway’s Labor Day Classic, the historic National Open at Williams Grove Speedway, and the season-ending World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Is there any race that Zearfoss isn’t running next year? In his announcement it said it was a 105 race schedule.

Probably just another deal where PPM family is funding the deal but want to make it look like he got a ride. similar time the Indy Race Parts and the #2 car he ran in the past. If it works for him that’s great, another car on the track.

                        • In other Crew Chiefs fielding 410 teams news, Guy Forbrook is putting Gio Scelzi in a car for 20-25 midwest shows. Gio indicated in the article that he may still run some races in the Indy Race Parts 71.
After spending last year on the sidelines, National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Guy Forbrook will be turning the wrenches on a sprint car again this season.
