I was a little too optimistic about the end of April but May isn’t bad compared to what some were predicting.

I would like to hear something about some racing at Eldora. If any place in Ohio could race with fans, and still socially distance, it would be Eldora. Surely it would be much less risky than some of the other things that are currently being allowed.

NEITHER horse racing is no spectators and non contact sports doesn't include racing.

The Dream cancelled at Eldora until 2021 ...

Eldora is developing a plan for a ‘non-spectator’ event to take place on the weekend of June 4th-5th-6th. The proposal, currently in review, consists of Dirt Late Model teams working in a controlled and closed setting for an invitational event streamed exclusively online at FloRacing.com

Eldora's website says that it is confirmed by All Star officials that their Speedweek date has been postponed as well

Get ready for racing in October kids! Local tracks around July 1st with fans cause it'll be wait and see approach on mass gatherings. Enough is enough already! Others are open why aren't we? Government making threats to pull liquor or business license. Pennsylvania governor threatening to pull insurance, not sure how that's possible, it's gone too far! Fremont and Attica are fairground based tracks and likely last to open so guess it's time to travel to those states that want your money

Other states aren't having such as big of an issue as OH, MI and PA is having with this virus. It is getting better, but I would expect another upward trend with things opening up more and more.

Well more ya test the more cases gonna find, just makes sense. Actually sadly were in better shape then Illinois, Michigan, or Pennsylvania. We're at least having races without fans and Michigan track Merritt doing 2 full days racing this weekend. Friday here Jackson County racing

PA tracks are opening up more and more including this weekend. The one issue I have is how are these tracks doing it? I mean for years (since racing has started and Earl needing to sell one more hot dog) we have heard that tracks don't make any money, but they can race with no fans, race with limited fans nowadays? They are losing out on selling out tickets or at least a full crowd for normal shows along with merchandise and concessions and they barely make it by with how some people talk, but now all of a sudden all these tracks are opening up with limited revenue coming in now?

PPV can't be that much money rolling into these places especially when before people said that PPV money wasn't really going back to the tracks that much. So which is it? One thing I do know is we have way to many PPV options out there nowadays (IMO). Dirtvision, Speedshift, FloRacing/DirtonDirt, Lucas Oil/RacingBoys, The Cushion, SpeedCastTV, Dirt Knights, PitRowTV, and I am sure many more a well depending on the tracks. Great that people have a lot of choices, but not great when you need or want several of them to see all you want. With limited racing on these PPV the consumer isn't getting a lot of racing in with how they are spread out unless you have multiple accounts your paying for now.

Side Note: Likely wouldn't have raced Friday night because of wet grounds/parking lots, track, etc... Would they even race today with all the rain we have gotten this past week whether if the track was fine or not would the parking lots be able to handle a holiday type of crowd and good weather today?

Next week weather doesn't look that much better even if we could have seen racing in Ohio.

Curious anybody know what their payback scale means? Do they mean from each division of the entry fee, pit pass included with it, etc... Seems a little vague on the pay especially now allowing fans on the hillside and having concessions too.

                            Payback Scale:
                            1st – 45%
                            2nd – 25%
                            3rd – 15%
                            4th – 10%
                            5th – 5%

                            Pit Admission:
                            All Ages – $30

                            Entry Fees:
                            Modifieds – $40
                            Sport Mods – $30
                            Legend Cars – $20
Common Man Crown Vics – $20
                            Enduro – $30 ($600 Winners Pay)

Hope your not 5th on back....

Good for them. Hope it works out and they make some money. I fear we may lose some tracks if they don't get to open and make some revenue soon.
