RE: Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show Registration Information
I see that Tims' Sims will be at the Piqua show which is the same weekend. Does this mean that he won't be at the Tiffin show? Or does he have enough to cover both? Just wondering.

Not to worry. Tim's Simulators will be doing both shows this year, Tiffin & Piqua, on the same weekend. He is committed to both events and he has the help and equipment to pull it off.

NOSCS 2010 Master Press Release

Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show Ready to Roll into Tiffin
By Stephen J. Hartzell, Event Organizer

TIFFIN, OHIO, March 17, 2010

This weekend, March 19-21, 2010, will provide a sure sign of spring when the Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show opens at the Tiffin Mall in Tiffin Ohio.

As of this press release, there are 36 full sized cars and numerous karts scheduled to appear. There will also be 6 vendor displays on hand for the fans to shop.

The Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show is once again being sponsored by Fremont Speedway and Attica Raceway Park. Both tracks, along with the FAST series, will have displays on hand where fans may pick up a schedule or discuss the 2010 season with officials.

Headlining the show will be the popular winged sprint cars. In addition, fans will get a strong sense of racing history as 10 vintage cars will be on display. As is always the case, the racing karts will be strongly represented. Other entries include UMP late models, trucks, Attica & Fremont pace vehicles and a pair of drag strip cars.

The strong history theme will be taken one step farther as one mall unit will be reserved for use as a "Hall of Fame". This display will contain a large collection of racing memorabilia, photos, videos and slide shows. Aditionally, the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame display will make a rare guest appearance at the show on Friday night only.

A couple of units east of the Hall of Fame room, the Hoserville, Ohio room will be a flurry of activity all weekend. Tim Nickles Sprint Car Simulators will run in the room all weekend. On Friday night from 6-8:00, WFIN, 1330AM will tape a series of interviews for later broadcast on Dwight Allens Racing World, with interviews conducted by Lisa Hammer and John Wells. On Saturday at approximately 1:00, John Wells will conduct a Racing Trivia Competition featuring track announcer Brian Liskai, ARP Director Rex LeJuine, NBC 24 Meteorologist Norm Van Ness, Duane Hancock from Hoserville Ohio, and photographer Rick Sheerer.

At 2:00 the Hoserville Ohio Injured Driver Benefit Auction gets underway, featuring a huge collection of memorabilia and collectables going up for bids. Following the auction, a simulator competition will get underway along with a cornhole board tournament.

Several charitable efforts will be present as well. Community Hospice Care will be selling tickets for the annual Baumann Auto Group sponsored car raffle. The Clyde Cancer Cluster will also be making their appeal, and will be displaying a vintage 1965 Fremont pacecar.

The weekend will conclude with the awards ceremony on Sunday at 4:30 at center court. Awards will be announced for the Racers Choice, Peoples Choice, Merchants Choice, Late Model of the Year, Truck of the Year and Kart of the Year. Once a car has won an award, they are not eligible for any further awards.

Cars and vendors will exit the mall at 5:00 Sunday.

RE: Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show Information Thread
A typically good day on Friday.

Andy Myers' Hall of Fame room is a huge hit. Andy had a great idea, and he has done a remarkable job in puting this together. Please thank him when you see him.

Randy Mapus has decided to bring the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame display back today as well.

A lot going on at the show today! Come early & stay long!

PLEASE bid on those Hoserville Ohio auction items. We really need to have a good day so these guys can continue to do their very important work.

C-ya there.

RE: Northern Ohio Sprint Car Show Information Thread
Saturday was another great day at NOSCS. Was great to see Joanne & Doug Ford at the show. It was also fantastic to see the Hoserville Ohio auction do well and surpass last year's total.

I would like to once again give props to Andy Meyer on the job he did with the Hall of Fame room. Looks to be THE top attraction at this year's show. Look for this to become a yearly tradition.

I would also like to thank Rob Robenalt for talking me into taking this show on in the first place back in '02. Who woulda thought that this thing would have grown into the event that it is today? So many dedicated people have made this happen, and I am just the rope that ties it all together.. It's all about promoting our sport, and if this has played a role in some small way, then that is all of the reward that I will ever need.

The 9th NOSCS is tentatively scheduled for March 18-20, 2011.

Awards will be announced at 4:30 in center court. Cars will exit the mall at 5:00. After that, it is officially time to go RACING!
